This is the second year for the festival, which features a schools day, two days of industry talks from world-renowned games developers, a free business of video games workshop and a family weekend of games featuring a Yorkshire Games Showcase and games funded by Creative England’s GamesLab Leeds initiative.
Speakers attending the festival include Martin Korda (writer, Destiny 2), Iki Ikram (VFX, The Last of Us, Uncharted 4), David Wise (music, Donkey Kong Country, Snake Pass), Tracy Spaight (World of Tanks), Louise McLennan (UI design, Elite Dangerous) and Kieran Crimmins and James Svensson (VR, Star Wars Battlefront). There’ll also be a talk from Yorkshire-based games developers Boneloaf about the making of their world-conquering brawler Gang Beasts.
