The Game Republic, supported by Autodesk, GameDevDay returns on Thursday 3rd May as part of the Leeds International Festival, and sponsored by Unity Technologies, PlayIgnite and Eaton Smith.
GameDevDay begins with a Game Republic event at Platform in Leeds from 3.30pm, featuring talks from Unity’s Josh Naylor on the latest innovations from the company, Matt Frenchman from PlayIgnite about mobile user acquisition, Sam Rushton from Creative England about their previous projects and an update on the latest funding and support initiatives, Neil Parmar from Escape Technology discussing useful software for developers, plus Eaton Smith on the importance of GDPR rules for games developers.
GameDevDay then continues from 6pm at Shooters Bar in Leeds for GaMaYo (Game Makers Yorkshire) #14, with more than 250 Yorkshire and Northern games developers meeting for drinks and networking, as well as more than 20 new games to play – many debuting for the first time.
Game Republic members attend for free, but you can also attend the Game Republic and GaMaYo events if you sign up from the Leeds International Festival website – limited tickets are available for both events. Hope to see you there!
