The sixth Game Republic Student Showcase took place on Thursday 30th May at Leeds College of Art with 23 projects from five universities/colleges judged by four games companies from the network. The event was also sponsored by the games companies Sumo Digital, Four Door Lemon, Just Add Water, The Blast Furnace and Revolution Software.
As well as the prizegiving, the awards were followed by a talk by Jon Hare, Tower Studios, and a panel debate “Games: State of the Art”.

The Four Door Lemon Award for Game Technology
1st Prize – Silo by Armoured Dog (Leeds Beckett University)
2nd Prize – Tank Attack by Tank Attack (Sheffield Hallam University)
3rd Prize – Toy Destroy by Choking Hazard (University of Huddersfield)
The Sumo Digital Award for Game Design
1st Prize- A Typical Space Game by AFP (University of Huddersfield)
2nd Prize- Push by Josh Pollard (Leeds Beckett University)
3rd Prize- Ragtime Racing by Ragtime Racing (Sheffield Hallam University)
The Just Add Water Award for Game Art
1st Prize- Toy Destroy by Choking Hazard (University of Huddersfield)
2nd Prize- Underwood by Acorn Games (University of Huddersfield)
3rd Prize- Froggy by Team Stilton (University of Bradford)
The Blast Furnace Award for Best Team
