Game Studios Compete for Legendary Quiz Prize
It was a bumper year for Legendary Quiz teams with 20 in total and some great team names including ‘Don’t Pitstop Me Now!”, “New Low Score!” but the team that won the best team name prize were called “AMD, Lenovo, Copilot + PC with Escape Technology always deliver on their brand promises!”.
For the results of the quiz, scores ranged from 16/40 to 32/40. The top two places were very close indeed. In third place, with 28/40 was the team “Wait…no…actually this Team came first!”, then a tie for a second place with 31/40 were the teams “We were trying to think of a name with Revolutionary in it but we couldn’t think of one so this is our team name instead” and “Radical Observations”. But in first place with 32/40 – taking the quiz crown from Revolution/ Radical Forge who have won for the past few years – was Concrete Badger made up of folks from Team17 and Badgerhammer. Congratulations to Ashley Day, Ben Lombardo and Nick Gripton, who all received a bumper knitted stocking full of games goodies (such as PlayStation badge set and a mini Atari handheld games machine) plus a Game Republic Quiz winners medal!
Jamie Sefton MD of Game Republic said “It was great to host this final event of a very busy year we have produced, partnered and guested on 30 games industry events regionally, nationally and internationally. It was a great party that gave everyone a chance to relax and enjoy themselves. The quiz was great fun and thanks to the support we received we were able to also give every party guest free gifts as well as a wide range of prizes”
At the end of the quiz, the movie that attendees had voted on was revealed – The Matrix. Thanks to the team at Everyman Cinema for providing a great host venue experience. Here are some photos from a fabulous last Game Republic event of the year.
