The best way to make the most of the year ahead is to get some things to look forward to booked in for 2024. So if you have got a new diary, a big colourful wallchart, a shiny new calendar with pictures of puppies or screenshots from Zelda on it, then get your pens out and start saving the date… alternatively book them and they will appear as if by magic on your online calendar….

Game Republic event with a trends forecast for 2024 and a panel on Narrative Design
Thursday 18th January 2024
Time: 4.00pm – 7.30pm

This is the Game Republic special event to start 2024, with a forecast on key trends from Chris Dring, GamesIndustry.biz, and a panel on narrative design with guest speakers including Rhianna Pratchett, Paul Cornell who writes for Doctor Who as well as for Marvel and DC comics, co-Director of the multi-award winning Dreaming Methods Judi Alston, creator of Broken Sword Charles Cecil of Revolution Games. The event will also include a short presentation by Ben Board from Epic Games about opportunities in 2024.
All followed by drinks and networking afterwards and a chance to get signed books and try out Abandoned Library – the award-winning immersive experience from Dreaming Methods.

This is a live Game Republic online webinar business event on Thursday 8th February 2024, 5pm – 6pm, with Alden Kroll and Erik Peterson from Valve with all the latest news and opportunities with Steam and the Steam Deck Console. There’ll be an interview followed by a Q&A where you can ask live questions.
