Over 80 developers are set to attend Game Republic’s next event, New Partners and PR, with our friends at Gameopolis and taking place at KPMG in Manchester on April 18th.
The event promises a stellar line-up of guest speakers including ID@Xbox, Draw & Code, CGHero, Charley Grafton-Callaghan – Communications Consultant at CGC Communications – and representatives from Sony PlayStation XDEV will be in attendance too.
Charley Grafton-Callaghan (pictured) is a veteran communications professional with over 15 years experience supporting businesses build credibility and drive growth in the games industry. Over the course of her career, she has built a reputation for crafting impactful strategies that elevate companies and captivate audiences for brands including Warner Bros, Bandai Namco, HBO, BMW, Paradox Interactive, Firaxis and 2K. From launching AAA blockbusters and break-out indies titles to navigating businesses through critical growth stages, Charley’s expertise spans the spectrum of the games ecosystem. In her current role as strategic communications consultant, she is a trusted partner to clients, supporting growth through effective communications strategies and seamless execution.
Jonathan Lloyd of CGHero will be discussing the best ways that games companies can outsource art and animation, Scallywag Arcade, part of the Liverpool-based games company Draw & Code, will be sharing their insights on developing Taskmaster VR and working with licenses, and Ben Robinson from ID@Xbox will be sharing opportunities on the platform including Game Pass and the new Developer Acceleration Programme for developers from underrepresented backgrounds. PlayStation XDEV will also be there to meet developers and discuss projects – XDEV works closely with larger developers on bringing exclusive IP to the PlayStation platform, funding and sometimes acquiring studios, as they did with the hugely successful Little Big Planet developed by Media Molecule. After the event, GR members can also attend the RE:Format networking event from 6pm at the Bierkeller nearby.
