Middlesbrough-based games developer and Game Republic member Double Eleven is enjoying huge success with its latest release – the inventive, level-creating platformer LittleBigPlanet on PlayStation Vita.
Released as a standalone game or as part of unique PlayStation Vita bundle last Friday 21st September, LittleBigPlanet stormed into the top ten games chart, and has received unanimous critical praise, including a 9/10 from industry gaming bible, EDGE Magazine.
Lee Hutchinson, CEO of Double Eleven, said: “We are delighted with the feedback we’ve received. LBP is a fantastic franchise to be a part of and we wanted to ensure that we got it just right, both for ourselves and for the dedicated fans it has.”
Double Eleven has grown rapidly since it was founded in January 2010, expanding from two to more than 40 staff, with its home in digital zone in DigitalCity Business’s Boho One HQ in Middlesbrough. For more information on Double Eleven, hit the website.
