Global conference series lands flagship conference, including three additional partner events, in Helsinki from October 7–8, 2025

Global b2b games event series Pocket Gamer Connects is thrilled to announce its annual return to the Nordics, arriving in Helsinki on October 7–8. Uniting regional with global games industry delegates and beyond to spark business connections and promote growth, the 12th edition of PG Connects Helsinki introduces a four-events-in-one dynamic, setting a new benchmark for cross-sector networking and industry insight.

Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki 2025 at-a-glance:

  • 25 conference tracks
  • 150+ speakers from leading companies
  • 36 hours of content across 2 days
  • 1,500 international attendees from the entire ecosystem
  • 800 companies representing 50+ countries
  • 3,000 meetings

The core multi-conference programme is supported by supplementary activity ranging from an initiative showcasing women at the forefront of the regional games sector, a dedicated careers area, indie developer expo and pitching competition to curated sessions connecting publishers and investors with developers, a gamejam, evening reception and post-conference party for additional, relaxed networking, and more.

In addition to the standard two-day PGC Helsinki event, which has proved a regular hit since its 2014 emergence, this year’s conference will be joined by the following partner events:

  • Big Screen Gaming Summit (October 7), offering advanced insight into the future of PC, console, browser games and UGC
  • Beyond Games: Transmedia Summit (October 7), in partnership with Helsinki Film Lab, unpacking challenges and opportunities in the transmedial landscape, connecting game companies with counterparts in film, TV, animation, and more
  • AI Gamechangers Summit (October 8), delving into the transformational impact of AI in games, including practical use cases, ethical issues, and future opportunities

The summit topics will be covered through quick-fire keynotes, panels, fireside chats, and roundtables in dedicated track rooms. These will feature alongside PGC Helsinki’s focus on every aspect of the business of games, including investment strategies, monetisation, studio management knowhow, user acquisition, and how to launch, operate and grow successful titles, amongst other crucial content.

Adding to the plethora of real networking opportunities courtesy of the effortless MeetToMatch meeting platform and scheduled post-conference activity, PGC Helsinki is bringing back its popular ‘fringe events’: tailored, curated sessions designed to connect game companies with investors, and speedmatching between developers and publishers; as well as a double edition of the popular Very Big Indie Pitch competition for smaller studios. Additionally, a Careers Zone will offer a prominent hub for talent acquisition within the games sector.

A brand new addition for this year’s PGC Helsinki instalment is Aurora, a celebration of women forming a vanguard of the Nordic games industry. Brimming with talent, creativity, and pioneering spirit, the Nordic sector encompasses a rich pool of women worthy of recognition for their achievements in games. Ten such leaders will be showcased alongside a bespoke conference track as part of the main PGC Helsinki 2025 programme.

Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki 2025 is set to deliver its biggest and broadest edition yet, whilst attracting its largest attendance to date. The conference again proudly forms the central component of Finnish Games Week (October 6–10), a five-day series of games industry events taking place in the nation’s capital and designed to bring the sector together and maximise opportunities for collaboration and prosperity.
