March 8th & 9th– Game Republic presents WX Games Weekend (public event).
10am – 5pm Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sunday
A FREE 2-day games event featuring exciting modern and retro console games to play, old-school arcade games and brand-new games developed by indie games companies based in Yorkshire and the North of England.
This exclusive games event for WX in Wakefield will also feature esports tournaments and challenges, workshops on how to design games, skills information on the games industry, stands to buy games and merch, and talks from games legends and developers on how to have a career in this exciting creative industry.

March 17th – 21st – Game Developers Conference (GDC) Trade Mission. Game Republic is leading this DBT trade mission, which gives you a HQ of Werqwise (a block from the Moscone Center of GDC in San Francisco) for the week, meetings with Valve and more plus networking events.

March 27th – GR Unreal Engine Special at the National Videogame Museum in Sheffield, 4pm – 7.30pm. A focused event on the Unreal Engine, featuring talks on best practice and tech tips from Tanglewood Games, UEFN practical tips from Red Kite Games plus Ben Board from Epic Games on the latest announcements from GDC, a chat with Steel City Interactive and Cooperative Innovations.
