The UK’s premier games investment conference, the GameHorizon Investment Summit, returns on Thursday 25th September at the EGX London event, Earls Court, along with a new GameHorizon Marketing Summit on Friday 26th September.
Now in its fifth year, and organised by Game Republic, the GameHorizon Investment Summit brings games developers and investors together for talks, a panel and opportunities for both informal and formal meetings – and the event sold out well in advance last year. Investors include publishers, venture capitalists, games funds, trusts, platform-holders, and angels and in 2013, the event had more than 60 formal meetings between games companies and investors, which resulted in numerous funding for developers – including £30,000 for Mad Fellows Games from Creative England.
Speakers and investors already confirmed for this year’s GameHorizon Investment Summit include London Venture Partners, Initial Capital, Nintendo of Europe, SCEE XDev, Standfast Interactive, Pollen VC, MakieLab and Creative England – with more big names to be announced soon. Tickets are £99 (plus Eventbrite fee) and include a morning of talks, a networking lunch, and an opportunity to pitch for formal meetings in the afternoon with investors, as well as full access to the EGX London expo and exclusive Press Area.
This year, there is also a GameHorizon Marketing Summit on Friday 26th September, which aims to tackle the other major issue for developers – discoverability. Already confirmed are Leonie Manshanden, ex-Irrational Games Studio Head discussing marketing your game, plus Rich Keith from YouTube company Yogscast – with more guests from major platform-holders, PR/marketing companies and press to be announced soon! Tickets are just £69 (plus Eventbrite fee).
There is also a specially-priced ticket for just £149 (plus Eventbrite fee) that gives you access to both events and the EGX London expo available here. Don’t miss out on what will be the best events this year to find out how to fund and market your game – see you there!
