New Ideation Studio Aims To Deliver Captivating Concepts For The Video Games Industry

Ludo Gamelabs, a new ideation, concepting, and prototyping studio for video games, officially announced its opening in January. Founded by industry experts Matt Knott and Simon Smith, the company – a Game Republic member – is dedicated to crafting player-centric experiences that bring people together across all platforms and formats.

The studio works with developers, publishers, IP holders, funders and more, to create validated video game concepts and prototypes that can then be developed into full games in partnership with external teams.

Strengthening its leadership team at launch, the studio also announces the appointment of Carl Jones as Non-Executive Director. A highly respected figure in the gaming and technology sectors, Jones brings a wealth of strategic experience to the board, having held senior leadership roles at global organisations including Cloud Imperium, SEGA, and Crytek. His expertise in business development, cutting edge technology and high-growth game studio operations will be instrumental in scaling the studio’s reach.

Based in Manchester, UK, Ludo Gamelabs arrives with a mission to transform creative ideas into captivating games. The studio operates at the transmedia intersection of video games, consumer products, and TV & film, leveraging a leadership team with decades of collective experience with some of the world’s most recognisable entertainment brands.
