Bonjour! UK Trade & Investment is supporting the games industry at the Grand Depart International Business Festival, 2nd-4th July, with Le Game Jam, taking place in three cities over 48 hours.
Sponsored by Autodesk, Le Game Jam takes place in Leeds, at Leeds Met University Headingley Campus, with judging and sponsorship by Dubit Ltd; in Sheffield, at Sheffield Hallam University, with judging and sponsorship by Sumo Digital; and in Cambridge at Jagex Ltd, and organised by Platform Expos. The winners of the three cities will go forward into Le Game Jam Grand Final, which takes place on Friday 4th July, 3pm-4pm, at the Carriageworks in Leeds, with judges including Sony Computer Entertainment, Insight For Hire and other games industry and business luminaries. The overall winner of the 48-hour game jam will win Le Game Jam cup and a day’s training and mentorship at Sony’s PlayStation HQ in London.
After the judging, there will be a panel, “Getting into the Games Industry”, where schools, universities, graduates, games enthusiasts and anyone interested in a career in gaming can ask questions.
