Game Republic was at the huge EGX event at the Birmingham NEC from 24th-27th September, including hosting the GamesIndustry.biz Investment Summit, which brings games developers and investors together for talks, a panel and formal meetings.
However, EGX also gave us the opportunity to check out the myriad of Yorkshire and Northern England GR members that were showing off their games to the 80,000 people who attended over the four days.
Team17 was there showing off its new game Worms WMD as well as many of the indie developers that the company is now publishing, including crazy battle-platformer Penarium and post-apocalyptic disaster management game Sheltered.
Sheffield developer Boneloaf present showing its hilarious multiplayer brawler Gang Beasts, as well as Sigtrap Games and its gorgeous 3D shooter Sublevel Zero.
Prospect Games showed off their colourful adventure racing game Unbox, plus there were also mobile developers demonstrating iPad and iPhone games, with Laser Dog Games’ HoPiko (out now on iOS) and Dumpling Design’s Dashy Crashy (pictured).
Look out for all these fantastic games from Game Republic members and thanks to EGX for an amazing event. Check out our Members page for links to these developers and more information.
