Behaviour Backs Game Republic New Horizons

Behaviour Interactive will be sponsoring Game Republic New Horizons on 16th October. The studio will be sponsoring lunch for 200+ attendees at the event and will have a dedicated suite at the Riverside Stadium for meetings. The Behaviour suite can be found on MeetToMatch which will be powering the networking at this new flagship games industry event in The North.

Bob Makin, General Manager – UK Studios (pictured) for Behaviour Interactive said  “It’s a massive boost to have the Game Republic New Horizon’s conference flying the flag for the North East game development scene, and the fact that it is in Tees Valley is incredible.  Tees Valley has a long history of game development and over the past decade we’ve seen that beginning to really flourish into a tech hub, with around 1,000 people now working in games at Tees Valley based studios.”

The event which is being supported by Tees Valley Combined Authority forms part of Game Republic’s 2025 event programme supported by Official Partners Red Kite Games, Barclays Games and Creative and Xsolla and promises an expo, an incredible After Party and a stellar line-up of speakers including:

  • A BAFTA interview with Axel Torvenius, MachineGames’ Creative Director of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle with an exclusive limited edition FREE Bethesda gift for the first 200 attendees for the session
  • A presentation and panel on funding with Kickstarter’s Head of Games, Asher McClennahan, flying in from the USA, plus other investors including games VC Transcend Fund
  • A leadership panel with Harinder Sangha (Maverick Games), Kimberley Turner (Double Eleven) and Lasse Seppänen (Supercell London)
  • A future markets panel with Tony Byus from Japanese indie publisher Rainy Frog – who is flying in from Japan
  • A very special The Game Business session with Chris Dring interviewing comedian and Taskmaster contestant Maisie Adam!
  • Other sessions including Xbox showing off the new ROG Ally X handheld Xbox (which launches on the same day), Autodesk with a tech deep dive and an amazing talk by Reflex Arc on working with robots!

The event will also include a special raffle from Safe in Our World and a chance to have a pic with Roary the Lion (the MFC mascot) in front of the player’s tunnel to raise funds for SpecialEffect. More funds will be raised for SpecialEffect at a special VIP Reception being hosted by Double Eleven on 15th October.
