Game Republic Steam Festival Reaches Over 1.44m Impressions

The Game Republic Games Festival on Steam, which took place to coincide with GaMaYo on 21st May in Leeds, resulted in 1.44m unique views, a front page feature and record spikes in Sales and Wishlists for game developers and publishers in the network.

The event formed part of Game Republic’s activities for 2026 supported by Official Partners Red Kite Games, Xsolla and Double Eleven.

The Festival was featured on the front page of Steam, and had more than 1.44m unique impressions over the two-week celebration, featuring more than 100 games from Game Republic members including Good Boy from Team17 and Observer Interactive, Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars – Reforged from Revolution Software, Hyper Sentinel Fusion from Huey Games, Monkey Bizniz from Starlight Games, Mithra from Seventh Disorder, Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 from Skyhook Games and many more.

As an example of the impact, Badgerhammer – makers of the fantastic multiplayer cartoon-y basketball game Dunk Dunk – saw a 550% increase in sales, while Machinefun Games saw their game Trash City Turbo increase Wishlists by 170 to take them over the 1000 Wishlist milestone.

“We’re really pleased with our first Game Republic Steam Festival, which saw more than 100 games from our members featured on the front page of Steam, thanks to Valve”, said Managing Director of Game Republic, Jamie Sefton. “We’ll definitely be back next year with an even bigger festival, so any game developers wanting to take part should get in touch and join the network.”
