September’s event ‘New Creative Technologies’ in collaboration with Barclays Games and Creative and XR Stories will have a cracking line-up to kick off the Autumn programme of events for Game Republic on September 19th at Kommune in Sheffield. Caroline will discuss with Barry the impact of technology across his incredible body of work, from the democratisation of digital during his early career at Warp Films, through producing smash hit musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie during lockdown to his current work on the latest series of The Night Manager.
Ashley Day, Head of Developer Relations, Team17 discussing his career with Jamie Sefton, Managing Director at Game Republic, including being deputy editor of gamesTM, launching the Wii U and Switch at Nintendo UK and now helping indie developers make their dream games a reality at Team17 – plus how Team17 is handling a fast-changing global market, using new technologies and discovering new games.
Judi Alston, Creative Director and CEO, Dreaming Methods on using technology to tell stories for social change, with their XR Stories-funded demo The Pit Camp about the 40th anniversary of the Miners Strike, and the homelessness project Streets of Change.
