Best Game Made in The North Open to Public Vote

Game Republic, the largest games industry network in The North has revealed 15 games in the nomination list for The Best Game Made in The North Award sponsored by Xsolla.

The Game Republic Awards are an annual event that began in 2023 to mark Game Republic’s 20^th Anniversary. They proved so popular that they have continued and grown ever since. This year Game Republic introduced two new Awards – Industry Impact for studios making a positive impact on the sector, and Student Star providing Universities and colleges opportunities to nominate students showing outstanding work in their studies. The Game Republic Awards form part of the 2026 event programme supported by Official Partners Xsolla, Double Eleven and Red Kite Games and Strategic Partner Steel City Interactive

Commenting about the Best Game Made in The North list Jamie Sefton MD of Game Republic said “This is an opportunity to show the outstanding work that is happening across the North with a fantastic range of titles, genres covered that have been nominated this year, reflecting the talent in the network and in the region. We hope people get out and vote for their favourite game and we will not know the result until the day of the presentation – so it makes it even more exciting”

The Best Game Made in The North sponsored by Xsolla is subject to a public vote.

Winners will be revealed on 26th November 2026 at GaMaYo – which is free for game developers in The North and Game Republic members to attend- will see over 450 game developers, publishers, investors, platform-holders and media set to attend the very popular event billed as ‘the largest and friendliest game dev gathering in the UK’. This year alongside the Awards, attendees will be able to play over 50 new games, join roundtables with experts as well as networking, food and drink in the spectacular setting of WX in Wakefield. The event is being sponsored by Silver Lining Interactive, Plus Accounting, Eaton Smith Solicitors and Kudos Games
