Game Republic Student Showcase 2019 – Monday 3rd June, University of Hull

The Game Republic Student Showcase 2019 returns on Monday 3rd June at the University of Hull!

This is a yearly competition for final-year and post-graduate students at the 13 Game Republic Educational Partner institutions including the University of York, Sheffield Hallam University and Wakefield College, and over the past decade has helped find placements and full-time jobs for over 100 students and graduates.

This event, for the first time taking place at the University of Hull, is set to be the biggest yet, with 13 Educational Partners of Game Republic taking part and the addition of a new award – Game Audio. The full list of awards being judged on the day are: The Revolution Software Award for Game Art & Animation, The Red Kite Games for Game Technology, The Sumo Digital Award for Game Design, The Rebellion North Award for Game Audio and a special award for Best Team. Thanks to our fantastic games companies for sponsoring these awards.

The designer of this year’s brilliant Student Showcase mascot (pictured above) is University of Hull art student Natalia Jaszkowska.

Game Republic members can attend the event from 3pm to view the student projects, with the evening event from 6.15pm featuring a prizegiving, games industry panel and networking drinks from 7.15pm
