Game Republic member Brazen Gameplay, a new games company set up by Tony Warriner (Revolution) and Stoo Cambridge (Sensible Software) has just smashed its Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign target of £6,000 for its new game! UrbX Warriors, which featured at the last GaMaYo event on 22nd May, is an Action-RPG inspired by 80s and 90s RPGs and classic arcade games and is currently riding high with more than £23,000 raised for development by 440+ backers.
In the game for the ZX Spectrum NEXT and PC/Mac, urban explorers, Alejandro and Ramona begin to investigate what they believe to be an as yet undiscovered underground temple complex, near the foothills around Lake Titicaca and begin searching for treasure, solving puzzles, avoiding traps and evading demons, zombies and all kinds of nasty enemies.
With 25 days to go, there’s still time if you’d like to back UrbX Warriors on Kickstarter and grab one of the special limited edition physical editions of this fantastic game.
In other Kickstarter news, another GR member IMPRNT is currently running its campaign for the game Hounded, a dog-adventure game set in a Flintlock Fantasy world of an alternative 18th Century Britain. The beautiful-looking narrative-led game has fantastic graphics and a wonderfully-animated lead character dog called Duke. The team is currently nearly 50% there for its target of £22,000 – so have a look and pledge for Hounded too!
