UK Trade & Investment in Yorkshire has been working with Game Republic to bring a series of three free events around the region focusing on Game Connection Europe in Paris (3rd-5th December 2013) and Game Developers Conference USA (25th-29th march 2014).
As well as guest speakers and essential info on getting the most from these international conferences, the events will include information on how to access the UKTI funding schemes Passport to Export and Gateway to Global Growth, worth up to £3000 in match-funding for games companies based in the region.
The first event was on Tuesday 17th September in Sheffield and featured talks from Simon Barratt (Four Door Lemon) and Roufina Guencova (Game Connection) as well as essential UKTI funding advice.
The second event is on Thursday 10th October in Leeds and will feature Mark Jawdoszak from Gaslight Games and Oscar Clark from Everplay discussing getting the most from Game Connection and the Game Developers Conference. The event is free and includes lunch – you can sign up here.
The final event is part of the Platform Expos 2013 games event in Hull on Friday 15th November and is an afternoon session at the Hull Ferens Art Gallery again featuring Simon Barratt (Four Door Lemon) – please sign up here to attend.
