Games industry charity GamesAid recently held a Bowling Night on Wednesday 14th May across various cities including Liverpool, Brighton and Middlesbrough – the latter where Game Republic supported and sponsored a team to compete in the competition and raise money for some very deserved causes.
The Game Republic bowling team, made up of members from Dog Box Games and Dink (Alex Clemenson, Jess Coyle, Emily Martin, Rob Brough, Luke Mills and Oliver Lloyd), took on teams from other games companies and members of the network in the North East, including Tanglewood Games.
Rob Brough, Director at Dog Box Games, especially smashed it, achieving well over 100 points a game, but the competition was tough. In the end Tanglewood took the 1st prize trophy – and Terry Haynes, Business Development Manager at Tanglewood won the individual cup – with the Game Republic team coming in a very respectable 4th place! More importantly, the bowling raised hundreds of pounds for GamesAid – for more info on this fantastic charity and how to get involved in their upcoming events, hit the link.
