Game Republic will once again be working with Safe In Our World at GaMaYo on May 22nd at Project House Leeds.
The charity Safe In Our World aims to create and foster worldwide mental health awareness within the video game industry; to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health, to make it a natural topic of discussion, and to promote the dialogue surrounding mental health so people are not afraid to reach out for help if they need it.
Safe In Our World also aims to assist people who don’t suffer from mental health issues in understanding these afflictions as well as identifying symptoms, their signs, and any related challenges so they are better equipped to help others in a proactive and educated manner.
On 22nd May, Em and Sky from Safe In Our World will be sharing info about the work, support available and answering questions at a roundtable on mental health. There will be a Quiet Room available throughout the event where attendees can take time out. And it would be not be support without a bit of fundraising, so there will be a raffle too.
