Record number of indie games to demo at GaMaYo

GaMaYo at Tileyard North is set to be the biggest GaMaYo event to date on Thursday 23rd May with 400 developers attending, more than 150 studios and a record 26 new games being shown off. Alongside the usual game playing and networking, the event will also feature roundtables for the first time alongside the demos. The event is being sponsored by Tileyard North with support from the West Yorkshire Combined Authority.  The event forms part of the 2024 events programme supported by our Official Partners Red Kite Games, Barclays and Escape Technology.

Indie Games Increase

Jamie Sefton MD of Game Republic has been amazed at the number of demos for the event “We typically get 12-15 demos, but thanks to the larger space and the increasing activity in indie games in the region, we are delighted to be bringing 26 new games including some world premieres to the event. I will expect to see even more on November 21st as some studios that wanted to share their games were not quite ready for this May event. The demos provide a great opportunity for game developers to get feedback on their games from fellow game developers as well as publishers and investors.”

Game Demos include Dig VR, Sniper Elite: Winter Warrior, Southfield, The Waking Knot, Kopi, Memora Wanderer, Witchmarsh: Tea Party of the Damned, The Governor of the West, Terms and Conditions,  EmiTime, The Ghost of Nichishima, Haus of Klaus, Close to Flight, HamStarz Battle Arena to name a few.
