Can you tell us more about the recent announcement of your new build, Gradient Mill at Tileyard North?
Of course! Gradient Mill is our new build Grade A workspace opening this Summer. Its name – inspired by the historical connotations from the mill site – will house units from 2,594-38,810 sq ft. Providing more room for our community to grow, Gradient Mill will boast creative workspace – perfect for developers and gaming businesses – designed with wellness in mind, with excellent natural light and state-of-the-art spaces overlooking the central courtyard.
What’s been happening in your studio spaces at Tileyard North?
Our studio spaces are busier than ever! We’re in the process of upgrading a studio with a world-class mixing desk, and our mobile podcast rig is now up and running for those wanting to mix up their podcast backdrop and film in one of our event spaces or our film & photography studio.
The flexible workspace offering at Tileyard North is nearing 6 months open – could you elaborate on what makes 2-Work @ Tileyard North unique for publishers, creatives, businesses?
Set within the iconic Cutter Mill, 2-Work @ Tileyard North provides high quality private office space and coworking in Wakefield. In what ways does Tileyard North foster a collaborative and creative environment for individuals and businesses?
We aim to cultivate a dynamic ecosystem where individuals and businesses can connect, collaborate, and innovate. From socials to shared amenities and communal spaces, we’re committed to fostering a supportive environment that encourages collaboration and creativity. Now, over a year since our opening, we’re already seeing residents working together.
The upcoming event at Tileyard North during the Spring Bank Holiday weekend sounds fantastic. Could you provide more details about what visitors can expect during these two unforgettable nights of live country music?
Absolutely! We’re thrilled to host two nights of live country music right in the heart of Wakefield. On Friday night (24th May), attendees can expect soulful performances from Kezia Gill, Jade Helliwell, and Two Weeks in Nashville, spanning from heartfelt ballads to foot-stomping anthems. Saturday night (25th May) promises even more excitement with Twinnie, Lauren Housley & The Northern Cowboys, and Kylie Price taking the stage, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Alongside the evening events, there’s a free afternoon of family-friendly activities, street food, drinks, and live music. What prompted the decision to incorporate these daytime festivities, and what can families anticipate during this part of the event?
We wanted to create an event that caters to all ages and interests as part of LIVE! At The Yard, which is why we’re excited to offer a free afternoon (from 12-5pm) filled with family-friendly activities, delicious street food, drinks, and live music on the Saturday. Families can look forward to a fun-filled day of entertainment, including performances by Simeon Hammond Dallas, Holly Tandy, Kelsey Gill, Rosalie Deighton & Eletto, creating the perfect atmosphere before Saturday evening’s event. We’re excited about the future of Tileyard North as we continue to expand our offerings and community.
