Game Republic has announced a new flagship conference for The North – Game Republic New Horizons – which will be taking place at the Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough on 16th October 2025. The announcement was made at the annual Game Republic Summer Party in front of an audience of 130 game developers from across The North.
Speakers and sessions for Game Republic New Horizons will be revealed over the coming months, but MD of Game Republic Jamie Sefton is promising a conference and expo firmly focused on the future with some surprise special guests from across the globe.
Jamie Sefton explains “We are excited that Game Republic New Horizons will be happening at the spectacular Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough. Tees Valley is becoming a multi-million pound hub of digital creativity for The North. There are great games studios as well as film, TV and digital businesses here. The conference will bring together studios from across The North, the rest of the UK and overseas to explore opportunities for collaboration and to share insights on future markets, opportunities and skills.”
Games studio heads, lead developers and organisations that support the games industry, as well as business leaders from film, TV, VFX and wider creative industries can apply for up to 50 early bird tickets at only £99+VAT if they reserve a place before July 28th, 2025.
Alongside the full day conference which will include bookable meetings, roundtables, panels, presentations, fireside chats and networking, there will be an indie game expo of unreleased games. Game Republic New Horizons will also include an after party with exclusive and unlimited use of Level X – including unlimited use of arcade machines, go karts, golf, bowling, karaoke, food and drink. The event will form part of the Game Republic events programme supported by Official Partners Red Kite Games, Barclays Games and Creative and Xsolla.
Attendees registered for the event will also be offered the chance to join a special VIP reception on 15th October with details to be announced soon.
