Online games retailer and games publisher Green Man Gaming have been confirmed for the next Game Republic business event on 17th October in Leeds. This is the first time Green Man Gaming has attended a Game Republic event and Developer Relations Manager Jonny Merritt will be meeting games companies and other members to discuss their online platform and new publishing initiative (see photo below).
The event will also feature a talk from Andy Curtis from KTN/Innovate UK about the next round of funding for games/digital companies, including a new £8m call for business-led R&D projects for “immersive content”. We’ll also hear from Laura Harper from our newest affiliate member Shoosmiths on the SEIS/EIS scheme and how it can mean more investment for games companies. Afterwards we’ll enjoy drinks and networking.
