Game Republic New Horizons, the new flagship games business conference in the North of England taking place at the Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough on 16th October, confirmed today that the Head of Games for the world’s leading crowdfunding platform, Kickstarter, will be flying in from the USA to attend and present at the event. Asher McClennahan will speak about opportunities and best practice for games companies on the platform as well as joining a panel on funding and investment. The event forms part of Game Republic’s 2025 event programme supported by Official Partners Xsolla, Red Kite Games and Barclays Games and Creative.

Other special guests revealed for Game Republic New Horizons, which is being supported by the Tees Valley Combined Authority, include Harinder Sangha, COO at Maverick Games and Kimberley Turner, CFO and Commercial Director at Double Eleven who will both be joining the Leadership Panel hosted by Elaine Dowman, board member of IMIRT, the Irish Game Makers Association and Head of Games at Barclays. Plus, attendees will also hear from Tony Byus, founder of Japanese games publisher Rainy Frog, Lirui Ding, Principal at VC investors Transcend Fund, and Harvey Hayman, Games Lead at Hat Trick sharing insights on transmedia and funding opportunities, and there will be a live interview session featuring Chris Dring from media partner The Game Business with a very special guest to be revealed soon.
The stellar line-up will join MachineGames’ Axel Torvenius, the creative director of the fantastic Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, who will be taking part in an exclusive BAFTA fireside chat to kick off the full day event.

Game Republic New Horizons will be taking place on 16th October at the Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough. The conference will include an expo, roundtables, bookable meetings through MeetToMatch and will be bringing guests from across the UK and around the globe.
