Barclays sponsored Studio Hero Award gained many nominations in the Game Republic 20th Anniversary Awards presented at Tileyard North. The winner Anne Van Der Merwe from Red Kite Games won the award with nominations praising her for being so supportive, describing her as the backbone of Red Kite, the go-to person for all things to do with the studio, and the person who can get things moving and sort things out for the 80 developers in the busy studio.
Elaine Dowman of Barclays was impressed with the nominations “It was clear in the nominations that there are individuals in every studio who are so appreciated for their work, which is often in the background but absolutely fundamental to the success of the studio. Anne gained so many nominations from her colleagues at Red Kite Games and should like all nominees be very proud of this accolade.”
