Huey Games has won the Lenovo sponsored Best Small Studio Award in the Game Republic 20th Anniversary Awards at Tileyard North. Best Small Studio was one of the most popular of all Award categories. Huey Games was praised for its rapid growth – eight times the size of the studio in 2020, its smart porting work with Devolver, Konami and Yogscast as well as their original creations including Hyper Sentinel, Mechinus and Wreck Out. In addition they gained accolades for their work to support diversity and inclusivity through kickstarters, internships, apprenticeships and the Employ Autism initiative.
Nicola Hayes, Business Development Manager for Workstation Lenovo, sponsoring the Best Small Studio Award said “What was clear from the nominations is how much motivation and shared passion forms such a big part of success for small studios. It was great to read all the nominations and see how much that drive plays a part not only in what incredible projects are created but also in how people feel about where they work.”
