Universities and colleges across the North will come together to compete in the annual Game Republic Student Showcase on 6th June at Staffordshire University. The event which has shown to significantly improve the chances of employment for participants, will be judged by leading studios in the region. The Game Republic Student Showcase will also form part of the celebrations of 20 years of games courses at Staffordshire University. Game Republic members and invited guests will be invited to view the showcase, attend the prizegiving, the panel and networking from 5pm on the day.

The prize presentation will be the first part of the evening programme, to be followed by a Games Industry Panel on getting into the industry and a Fireside Chat with Mark Brown from Game Maker’s Toolkit – an incredibly popular YouTube channel that does a deep dive into game design, level design, and game production. This will be followed by networking and drinks with games companies, course leaders, student teams and previous winners!
