Most Inspiring Course Leader Matt Novak from University of Huddersfield

In one of the most popular Award categories, Matt Novak from University of Huddersfield won the Game Republic Most Inspiring Course Leader Award sponsored by Escape Technology. The award was presented at Tileyard North in Wakefield as part of the Game Republic 20th Anniversary celebrations judged by Rhianna Pratchett. Matt received a high number of nominations with graduates and current students praising him for providing relevant content, for his comedic and enjoyable style of delivery and providing impeccable lectures that inspired a new generation of game developers.

John Stopforth from Escape Technology said “I get to meet course leaders across the UK with Escape Technology and admire how the most inspiring course tutors and leaders can transform lives and help shape the next generation of games. Every nominee in this category should be really proud of the difference and contribution they have made, so much so, that their previous (and current) students have taken time to write some amazing nominations about the positive impact these educators have made. Good education determines the success and growth of games development and I could not be more delighted to see such a brilliant selection of nominations in this category. Huge congratulations to Matt Novak in winning this highly competitive category.”
