The Game Business has been confirmed as media partner for Game Republic New Horizons on 16th October at the Riverside Stadium. As part of the partnership, Christopher Dring editor-in-chief and co-founder of The Game Business will be joining the event and interviewing a special guest on stage as well as conducting media interviews at the event.
The Game Business is a twice weekly video podcast and newsletter dedicated to the video game industry, and was launched in partnership with famous video game event producer, journalist and host from Los Angeles Geoff Keighley (The Game Awards). Chris is an 18-year veteran of video game business media, including nine years at UK weekly trade magazine MCV, and eight years as the head of global games business website GamesIndustry.biz. He’s also frequently featured as a games business expert for the BBC, Sky, The Guardian and other leading financial and mainstream media.
Game Republic New Horizons is the new flagship games industry conference in The North, located in the UK’s fastest growing tech hub in Tees Valley in the North of England.  It will be taking place at the Riverside Stadium. Over 150 game studio heads and directors from businesses in film, TV and tech sectors have already booked to attend the event.
Headlining the event will be MachineGames’ Axel Torvenius, Creative Director of the fantastic Indiana Jones and The Great Circle, who will be interviewed by Luke Hebblethwaite, Head of Games at BAFTA. More speakers will be announced soon including speakers from key global markets, entertainment, tech, TV and beyond.
Over 200 attendees are expected to come along for the panels, networking with opportunities to book meetings via MeetToMatch and an expo at the event. There will also be an after party with go-karts, golf, bowling, karaoke and exclusive and unlimited use of the two floors of arcade machines at the end of the event.
