Lenovo has become the latest sponsor to support Game Republic’s special 20th Anniversary Awards, sponsoring the Best Small Studio Award in Yorkshire and The North.
Jamie Sefton MD of Game Republic said”We are delighted that Lenovo has joined our sponsored awards in this special year. Especially because we are lucky in the region to have a good mix of small, medium and large games studios to nominate.”
Eaton Smith Solicitors are sponsoring Best Large Studio and Barclays is sponsoring Best Mid-Sized Studio in what looks like being friendly but competitive categories. Escape Technology has sponsored Most Innovative Use of Technology and this category is expected to attract the studios currently working in XR, VR and Virtual production across the region as well as studios combining technologies in new ways to create incredible game experiences or build games communities.
Neil Parmar from Escape Technology explained the company’s award “In this region, we have seen incredible innovation over the years and real trail-blazing in adapting to new technologies so I am really looking forward to seeing the nominations for this category. There is a lot to celebrate in terms of tech breakthroughs here.”
Red Kite Games has chosen to sponsor Games Legend which has already attracted nominations for leading individuals in the industry, as has Other Things agency sponsoring Best Company Boss. Tileyard North has sponsored Community Player Award which will recognise individuals or companies making a big difference to communities.
